RUN TO BE A COMMUNITY REP
If you want to be at the face of both Student Union’s community campaigns and want to work directly with residents, representing students in your area, run to be a rep in your student council elections. Keep checking your Union’s election pages to learn when elections open.

VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering can be one of the best ways to meet new people and to experience something new to add to you CV and to your University experience. It also has the effect of giving you the warn fluffy feeling that you are actually doing something valuable with your free time.
Both Student Unions and Universities offer a wealth of opportunities to get involved with different volunteering projects. They also run accreditation schemes to document the hours end effort you put in.
